Cain Velasquez made quick work of Antonio (Bigfoot) Silva in the main event of UFC 160 in Las Vegas Saturday.
Early in the first, the UFC heavyweight champ dropped Silva with a right straight. Velasquez then unloaded with ground-and-pound for the TKO win.
“I want to win every fight against the best guys,” Velasquez said. “The (title defence) just goes with it.”
Velasquez's victory sets up a rubber match with Junior (Cigano) dos Santos, who defeated Mark (The Super Samoan) Hunt in the co-main event.
Dos Santos won the pair's first encounter in late 2011, knocking out Velasquez with an overhand right. Velasquez evened the score last December, winning a dominant unanimous decision.
The former NCAA Division I wrestler said he's open to fighting dos Santos a third time.
“He looked good tonight,” Velasquez said. “He looked tough. He's tough.”
