If Renan Barao isn't healthy enough to fight in the main event of UFC 161 in Winnipeg, there wouldn't be a shortage of applicants to replace him.

One such fighter who made it known Monday he would be willing to fill in for Barao is Urijah Faber, one of the top contenders in the bantamweight division.

According to reports over the weekend, Barao has a right foot injury that could prevent him from defending his interim bantamweight championship against Eddie Wineland at MTS Centre on June 15. Barao was reportedly going to have his foot examined on Monday, but the UFC has made no announcements about the fate of the fight and wouldn't confirm to the Sun on Sunday that Barao is out of the bout.

UFC president Dana White said late Saturday that Barao "probably" won't fight in Winnipeg.

Faber, who lost to Barao last year but beat Wineland in 2011, told mmamania.com on Monday that he would be happy to fight in Winnipeg.
