For Nik (The Carny) Lentz, there's something satisfying about deflating a hostile crowd.

In his last outing, the former NCAA Division I wrestler travelled to Sao Paulo to battle Brazilian prospect Diego Nunes at UFC on FX 7 in January. Lentz didn't need to speak Portuguese to realize he was walking behind enemy lines.

"They were yelling, 'You're going to die!' or something to that nature," Lentz said in a phone interview. "I was kind of glad I didn't understand it. That's kind of a weird and crazy thing to say to people.

"I got the message clear, even though I don't understand the language. It's very clear, when people are flipping you off and screaming at you, that they don't like you."

Though the passionate Brazilian crowd ripped into Lentz on the way into the octagon, the top-10 featherweight got the last laugh.
