It's clear Jon (Bones) Jones feels he doesn't have much to gain by defeating Chael Sonnen.

A two-time middleweight title challenger, Sonnen hasn't competed at 205 pounds since a submission loss to Renato Sobral at UFC 55 in 2005. Despite this, he was selected to coach opposite Jones on the most recent season of The Ultimate Fighter. With the show now behind them, Sonnen challenges Jones for the light-heavyweight championship in the main event of UFC 159 Saturday in Newark, N.J.

When asked what a victory over Sonnen means to his legacy, Jones made no mention of his opponent. Instead, he simply replied that it will be his fifth straight title defence, tying him for the UFC light-heavyweight record.

“It ties me with Tito Ortiz,” Jones bluntly stated on a recent UFC conference call.
