(Filthy) Tom Lawlor wasn't sure he would still be fighting this weekend.

The Ultimate Fighter 8 cast member was in the final stages of preparing for a bout with Michael (Judo) Kuiper Saturday at UFC on FUEL TV 9 in Stockholm, Sweden, when news broke that Alexander Gustafsson had been pulled from the main event against Gegard Mousasi due to a cut above his eye.

Lawlor tried his best to remain positive, but admitted he was uncertain if the card would go on without the Swedish light-heavyweight contender.

"When I first read about it on the Internet, I just waited and waited, but there was no official announcement, no anything," Lawlor said in a phone interview. "I assumed they were scrambling for an opponent. I was just worried it might be another situation where they cancelled the whole card, because really, this card, the reason for it, is to have Gustafsson fight and set him up for a title shot. So I was kind of worried about them scrapping the card all together.
