Demetrious (Mighty Mouse) Johnson earned his first successful flyweight title defence, winning an entertaining unanimous decision over John (The Magician) Dodson in the main event of UFC on FOX 6 in Chicago on Saturday.

Johnson struggled to find his range in the first round, whiffing on heavy punches. After getting dropped to his knees courtesy a straight left from Dodson, Johnson picked up the pace, but ate a series of hard punches while charging forward. Johnson appeared to find his groove early in the second, but was soon sent tumbling to the mat by a stiff left. Moments later the TUF 14 winner dropped him again, but a wobbly Johnson sprung back to his feet and recovered.

Johnson took over in the third, timing his shots and landing a series of big punches. Dodson responded with heavy strikes of his own, but allowed Johnson to dictate the pace of the fight. Johnson landed an illegal knee in the fourth, prompting referee John McCarthy to temporarily halt the action. How
