Vitor Belfort TKOs Michael Bisping's title hopes
The Count gets put down for the count by Brazilian and loses shot at title in the process

Vitor (The Phenom) Belfort derailed Michael (The Count) Bisping’s title hopes in the main event of UFC on FX 7 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Saturday.

 

Both fighters were patient in the opening frame, but Bisping initiated early, setting up combos with his jab and attacking Belfort’s lead leg with kicks. With seconds left on the clock, Belfort put Bisping on rubber legs with a high kick, but the TUF 3 winner tied up the MMA legend in the clinch to survive the round.

Bisping stuck to his gameplan in the second, but was quickly flattened by yet another high kick. This time Belfort capitalized on the opening, unloading with punches for the TKO win.

“I worked so hard,” Belfort said. “I want to thank Michael Bisping for the challenge.”

A disappointed Bisping admitted Belfort got the best of him.
