TORONTO - Christmas will be coming late for the Velasquez family this year.

Since Cain Velasquez is set to rematch UFC heavyweight champion Junior (Cigano) dos Santos in the main event of UFC 155 in Las Vegas

Dec. 29, the former titleholder has decided to celebrate Christmas with his wife and three-year-old daughter once the fight is over.

Velasquez admitted being on the cusp of avenging his only career loss doesn’t exactly put him in the holiday spirit.

“We’re pretty much going to push back Christmas until after the fight,” Velasquez said over the phone. “I have to fly out the next day after Christmas, so me and my wife talked about it. We’re just going to do it after Christmas, so we can relax and enjoy ourselves.

“We’re definitely going to be together on Christmas Day, but we’ll wait until afterward to relax, open presents and enjoy our time with each other.
