Two Canadians will be among the 32 contestants on the first episode of this season's The Ultimate Fighter.

Michael Hill, 25, of Kelowna, B.C., and 26-year-old Mike Ricci of Montreal will take part in the elimination fights that will whittle the field down to the 16 welterweights who will make up the cast of TUF Fridays. The fights will be part of the two-hour season premiere Sept. 14.

Former interim UFC heavyweight champion Shane Carwin and previous TUF winner Roy Nelson will act as coaches this time around. The two will meet in the season finale.

"Carwin and Nelson are two guys who just can't stand each other and Roy and I haven't exactly seen eye to eye either -- he's been a nightmare for me to work with on this show with all his stupid BS," UFC president Dana White said in announcing the roster for the elimination fights.

TUF Fridays will run for 13 weeks and the season winner will be crowned Dec. 15.
