Nogueira hurt, won't fight at UFC 133
By QMI Agency

The injury-plagued UFC 133 card took another heavy blow when Antonio Rogerio Nogueira withdrew after being hurt in training.

Nogueira's light-heavyweight bout with Rich Franklin was booked as the co-main event at UFC 133 Aug. 6 in Philadelphia. The fight will not be replaced on the card.

Injuries have already forced light-heavyweight champ Jon (Bones) Jones, Phil Davis and Vladimir Matyushenko off the card.

Jones was originally booked to defend his title against Rashad Evans in the main event but hurt a hand. Davis was then hurt and his spot filled by Tito Ortiz.

Matyushenko was slated to fight Alexander Gustafsson. Instead, Gustafsson will face Matt Hammill.

The middleweight fight between Vitor Belfort and Yoshihiro Akiyama has been bumped up to co-main event status and the welterweight fight between Dennis Hallman and Brian Ebersole will be on the main card.
