UFC fans will love Kenny Florian
By JOSE RODRIGUEZ, QMI Agency

VANCOUVER - By the end of the week, he may be the most unpopular fighter in Vancouver.

That is, unless his boss upstages him.

UFC featherweight Kenny Florian did little yesterday to dispel rumours he plans to show up at the weigh-ins in a Boston Bruins jersey.

The native Beantown scrapper has friends on the Bruins — who are facing the Canucks in the Stanley Cup final — and says he bleeds black and yellow and has no intention of changing his stripes.

“I may have a surprise for the fans a little later on,” Florian said.

The 14-9 fighter, who is now fighting in his fourth weight class having fought at middleweight, welterweight, lightweight and now 145 lbs., could still be outdone by one other UFC notable with a soft-spot for the Bruins.

Boston-born UFC president Dana White hasn’t been seen in hockey garb in Vancouver, yet.
