Former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir meets 2006 PRIDE open weight grand prix winner Mirko (Cro Cop) Filipovic in the main event at UFC 119.

Jeremy (Lil' Heathen) Stephens vs. Melvin (The Young Assassin) Guillard

Round one

Guillard misses a big overhand right, but Stephens drops him with a right counter. Guillard is back up, though. He charges at Stephens, with both guys landing hard shots. Stephens blocks the overhand right. Stephens lands a leg kick, but eats a straight right.

Stephens misses a body kick. Guillard bounces around and leaps in with a flurry of punches that land. He does it again, but Stephens blocks most of the shots.

Guillard is spending most of this fight dancing on the outside and lunging in. Stephens lands a body kick. Leg kick from Guillard. Stephens responds with one of his own. Stephens blocks an overhand right and responds with a leg kick. Guillard rushes as the round ends.

Round two

Stephens starts with a hard outside leg kick. Guillard with a stiff jab. Guillard looks light on his feet and continues moving around, while Stephens is more static. Guillard tries a knee to the head, but Stephens catches it and presses him against the fence. They break and Stephens clips him with a left.

Guillard with a body punch, but follows it with an accidental kick to the groin. Stephens lands a leg kick. Guillard with another body punch. Now Stephens connects with a low blow of his own -- Guillard really felt that one.

Stephens catches him with a solid uppercut after the restart. Stephens taunts him and Guillard explodes with a flurry that doesn't connect. Stephens lands a left hook as Guillard charges. Stephens with another leg kick.

Round three

Stephens with a leg kick. And another. Guillard with a teep to the gut. Stephens misses a takedown attempt, but lands more leg kicks. Guillard lands a straight right. Guillard counters a leg kick with a straight right. Guillard with a series of jabs.

Body kick from Stephens. Stephens keeps moving forward, but Guillard continues to move away from him. Stephens lands a hard right hook and follows with a leg kick. Stephens wobbles him with a body shot and misses a huge flying knee. Stephens with another leg kick and charges Guillard. Stephens tags him with a series of punches as the round ends.

Winner: Melvin Guillard by split-decision (29-28, 28-29, 30-27)

Evan Dunham vs. Sean (The Muscle Shark) Sherk

Round one

They touch gloves and Dunham starts bouncing around outside the pocket. He misses a head kick. Sherk shoots and slams him, but Dunham catches him in a guillotine choke. Sherk pops his head out.

Dunham has butterfly guard. Sherk delivers some punches, while Dunham responds with elbows from his back. Dunham gets to his knees and stands up. Sherk feeds him an uppercut. Sherk slams him back down again. Dunham is back to his feet, but Sherk has a front headlock.

Dunham grabs a guillotine choke! Sherk pops his head out, but now Dunham has his back again. Sherk spins him to the mat and is in Dunham's guard. Sherk lands a big elbow and Dunham is bleeding a lot now. Sherk keeps going to work on the cut and the ref stops it to have a doctor check Dunham out. They restart with eight seconds left and nothing happens as time expires.

Round two

Wow -- that is a deep gash on Dunham.

Dunham tags him with a right hook, but Sherk shoots and presses him against the cage. Dunham sinks in another guillotine choke, but Sherk pops his head out again! Sherk presses him against the fence and knees Dunham's legs.

Dunham grabs another choke, but Sherk avoids it. Sherk shoots again, but can't get Dunham to the mat and they're stuck against the cage. Sherk grabs a front head lock, but Dunham escapes. Dunham lands a flurry of punches. He keeps tagging Sherk now. Sherk misses a takedown attempt. Dunham lands a head kick. He follows with a straight left. Dunham backs him against the cage and unloads, but Sherk counters with a right. Dunham with a big knee. And another as the round ends.

Round three

Dunham wobbles him with a head kick. Sherk shoots, but can't get him down. They're back on the fence. Dunham works in some short punches, but Sherk isn't letting go. Sherk finally slams him down, but Dunham is right back up. They're against the cage again.

Dunham pushes him off. Dunham with a nice right hook. Dunham with a nice head kick. He unloads with punches, but Sherk drops for a takedown again. Dunham tries a standing guillotine and knees Sherk in the head as they break. Dunham with a knee to the body. Dunham backs him against the cage and unloads with punches and kicks. Big knee from Dunham. He keeps unloading on Sherk. Another big knee from Dunham. Dunham keeps tagging him as the round ends.

Winner: Sean Sherk by split-decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28). The crowd really hates the decision.

Chris (Lights Out) Lytle vs. Matt (The Terror) Serra

Round one

Lytle lands a quick flurry. Serra keeps tagging him in the body, though. Lytle responds with an overhand left. Serra with an uppercut to the body. Jab from Lytle, but Serra goes back to the body. Lytle lands an uppercut.

Serra moves him back against the cage, but they restart. Lytle lands another uppercut. Serra clips him with a big overhand right. Stiff jabs from Serra. Lytle clips him with a right hook. They trade flurries with both guys landing.

Serra's left eye is red now. Stiff jab from Lytle. Big right from Lytle. Another. Serra goes to the body, but Lytle lands another overhand right.

Round two

Lytle opens up with a jab and a straight right. Lytle wobbles him with a right, but Serra tags him back. Lytle with a right uppercut. They exchange jabs and Lytle lands a right hook.

Serra with a jab and a right hook to the body. Uppercut from Lytle. Lytle rocks him with a right hook, but Serra keeps fighting back. Serra with a straight right. Lytle unloads with a series of right and left hooks. Serra catches him with a body shot and charges forward, but eats an uppercut. Stiff jab from Lytle. Lytle catches him with a right hook and unloads. Serra just takes a huge amount of punches and keeps fighting back. Unreal.

Round three

Serra with a hook to the body. Lytle lands a jab, but eats another body shot. Lytle slips, but delivers a hard uppercut as Serra charges in. Serra misses a takedown attempt. Jab from Lytle. Serra lands a leg kick. And another.

Lytle tags him with a looping left hook. Lytle with a series of jabs and a right straight. Serra looks really tired here. Serra with a leg kick. Lytle unloads with more punches, ending with a left hook. Nice jab from Lytle.

Big left hook from Lytle. Another jab. Lytle keeps tagging him with hooks and Serra is swinging wild.

Winner: Chris Lytle by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Antonio Rogerio (Minotoro) Nogueira vs. Ryan (Darth) Bader

Round one

Nogueira backs him off with a flurry, but Bader is putting the pressure on. Straight left from Nogueira. Right hook, left straight by Nogueira. Bader keeps moving forward, though. Bader takes him down and unloads with punches. Nogueira's head bounced off the mat there.

Nogueira traps him in his guard now. Bader mixed up punches to the head and body. Nogueira's head is jammed against the cage. Bader with an elbow. Nogueira blocks a punch and elbow. Nogueira gets back to his feet.

Kick to the body from Nogueira. Nogueira stuffs a takedown. Nogueira catches him with a big right hook. He follows with a straight left as the round ends.

Round two

Bader with a leg kick. Nogueira with one to the body. Nogueira with a straight left and a leg kick. Nogueira catches him with a right hook. Body kick from Bader. Nogueira stuffs another takedown. Right hook from Bader.

Bader catches a leg kick and takes him down. Nogueira controls the arm and lands some punches. He kicks Bader off and stands up. Nogueira avoids another takedown. He backs Bader up, but misses a straight left. Bader flings him into the cage, but Nogueira bounces off and stays on his feet. Nogueira knees him in the gut. Bader lands a big right. Leg from Nogueira as the round ends.

Round three

Body shot from Nogueira. He follows with a right hook. Nogueira accidentally pokes him in the eye.

They restart. Boyd kick from Bader. Nogueira defends another takedown attempt. Bader tags him with a left hook and overhand right. Nogueira delivers a one-two and presses him against the cage. Nogueira knees him to the body.

Bader takes him down, but Nogueira is right back up. Knee to the body to Nogueira, followed by a jab. Right hook from Bader. Straight left from Nogueira. Big jab from Nogueira. Bader whiffs on some punches and eats a jab. Bader with a big right, but Nogueira wobbles him with a straight left. Nogueira knees him in the body, but Bader takes it to the mat. Bader misses any significant punches and is kicked off as the round ends.

Winner: Ryan Bader by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27). You have got to be kidding me. No way Bader won all three rounds. In the last two rounds, he was outstruck and his takedowns were meaningless.

Mirko (Cro Cop) Filipovic vs. Frank Mir

Round one

Cro Cop explodes with a right-left combo. Cro Cop defends the takedown against the cage. Mir knees the body as the clinch on the fence. Cro Cop lands an accidental knee to the groin.

Mir charges with punches, but Cro Cop avoids it. Cro Cop whiffs with a big left. He misses a right head kick. Cro Cop lands a big left, but Mir delivers a body kick. Cro Cop avoids the takedown, but Mir presses him on the fence. Mir delivers an eblow.

Cro Cop breaks free. Mir charges and ties him up against the cage again. Mir with a knee to the body and the ref breaks them up. Big leg kick from Cro Cop, but Mir presses him on the fence again.

Round two

Mir blocks a left hook. Both guys are still tentative. Cro Cop with a jab. Mir grabs him and presses Cro Cop against the cage again. They trade knees. Mir delivers a couple punches to the body.

The ref breaks them. Cro Cop with a jab. He lands another. Mir presses him on the fence yet again. Nothing is happening in this fight. Neither guy is trying to finish here.

The ref breaks them. Mir with a straight left. Cro Cop lands a kick to the body. Cro Cop misses a head kick.

Round three

This is easily one of the worst main events in a long time. Neither guy is even going for it.

Cro Cop with a straight left. Mir tries to clinch, but Cro Cop throws him off. And again. Mir avoids some punches. Jab from Cro Cop. Cro Cop blocks another takedowns attempt. This is terrible.

Cro Cop with a straight left. Mir grabs him and presses Cro Cop against the cage again. Cro Cop lands a knee and some punches to the head.

The ref breaks them. Cro Cop with a jab. Cro Cop tries a straight-left, but as he throws it Mir pulls his head down knees him in the face! Cro Cop is out!

Winner: Frank Mir by third-round KO.
