Main pay-per-view card

Chuck Liddell (21-7) vs. Rich Franklin (25-5) Liddell has never been in better shape. But at 40 and coming off two straight knockout losses, his chin may be suspect. Franklin is also coming off a loss to Vitor Belfort and has proven susceptible to heavy strikers. Chuck will look to land. Rich will look to change levels to keep Liddell from planting his feet.

Prediction: Liddell by second-round KO.

Patrick Barry (5-1) vs. Mirko Cro Cop Filipovic

(26-7-2) Classic storyline of idol vs. worshipper. Barry has made no qualms about his admiration for Filipovic. Filipovic seems uncomfortable with the whole affair. One thing for certain: This one is not going to the mat. Should be a standup war and will likely end like one of those 80s action flicks Barry loves so much.

Prediction: Barry by second-round TKO.

Martin Kampmann (16-3) vs. Paulo Thiago (13-1) Thiago is equally dangerous on the ground or on his feet. Kampmann wants to keep this fight standing and stay away from the Brazilians jiu jitsu.

Prediction: Thiago by decision.

n Ben Rothwell (30-7) vs. Gilbert Yvel (36-14-1) This is a battle of the big boys. Yvel has 31 (T)KO wins in his career and can land, although his ground and conditioning dont always work in his favour. Rothwell is more rounded than Yvel.

Prediction: Rothwell by third-round TKO.

Carlos Condit (24-5) vs. Rory MacDonald (10-0) At 20, Kelownas MacDonald is the youngest fighter on the card and has yet to feel the sting of a loss. Condit is by far the most talented fighter hes ever faced, but MacDonald has looked confident in training.

Prediction: MacDonald by decision.

Preliminary card

(free on Spike TV)

n Mac Danzig (19-7-1) vs. Matt Wiman (11-5) Danzigs only won once in his last four. But the former Ultimate Fighter winner has a rounded game and looks hungry.

Prediction: Danzig by third- round submission.

Evan Dunham (10-0) vs. Tyson Griffin (14-2) Dunham has never faced the energy of a fighter like Griffin. That said, this one has all the makings of fight of the night. Should be action-packed from start to finish.

Prediction: Griffin by decision.
