Krzysztof (The Polish Experiment) Soszynski is undefeated in his Ultimate Fighting Championship career.

The 31-year-old Winnipeg native scored a second-round victory over Shane Primm in his UFC debut on Saturday night in Las Vegas.

Fighting on The Ultimate Fighter 8 finale card at The Palms, Soszynski, who appeared on the reality program this fall, forced Primm to tap out because of a kimura.

The victory all but guarantees he will get a second UFC fight, likely in March or April.

"I was pretty nervous going into that first round. You know, UFC jitters, the spotlight's on you and all that," Soszynski said yesterday from Las Vegas. "But in the second round I was able to calm down and show what I can do. It was absolutely amazing. It couldn't have gone any better."

Soszynski's fight was on the undercard and wasn't supposed to be televised, but ended up on the broadcast since the main-event scraps ran short. Though he now lives and trains in Temecula, Calif., he was introduced as hailing from Winnipeg.

"I got a lot of phone calls today for that," said Soszynski.
