Scrapyard predictions for tonight's pay-per view portion of UFC 88 from Atlanta:

- Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell vs. "Sugar" Rashad Evans: Despite the decade in age difference, the elder statesman of the loopy knockout should have his way with Evans. Liddell is coming off a big win over Wanderlei Silva. Evans won a split decision over Michael "The Count" Bisping.

PREDICTION: Liddell by second-round KO.

- Rich "Ace" Franklin vs. Matt "The Hammer" Hamill: Brute strength is the key to this fight. Franklin handled strong fighters, like Yushin Okami and Travis Lutter, as a middleweight, but his return to the 205-lb. class against a bulldozer like Hamill will be a test. Franklin will have the edge if he can keep Hamill from taking him to the mat.

PREDICTION: Franklin by decision.

- Martin Kampmann vs. Nate Marquardt: They have one thing in common: Thales Leites. Kampmann defeated the Brazilian, while Marquardt lost a split decision. The smart money's on Marquardt, but Kampmann is undefeated in the UFC, has been training with Xtreme Couture and is capable of pulling off the upset.

PREDICTION: Kampmann by decision.

- Dan Henderson vs. Rousimar Palhares: Henderson is the former Pride middleweight and light- heavyweight champ. His list of notches includes Wanderlei Silva, Vitor Belfort and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. Palhares has had one fight in the UFC, taking out a retiring Ivan Salaverry with a first-round submission. Henderson respects the Brazilian, but doesn't see how a win over him would move him up in the middleweight ranks. Agreed.

PREDICTION: Henderson by second-round (T)KO.

Couture at cageside

Another fighter will be grappling for attention at UFC 88. Randy "The Natural" Couture will be cageside with UFC president Dana White after the two mended fences and ended their year-long legal grudge match. Couture defends his heavyweight title against the behemoth Brock Lesnar Nov. 15 at UFC 91.
