Sanchez returns at UFC 76

Diego Sanchez is set to return at "UFC 76: Knockout" against Jon Fitch.

UFC.com confirmed the match for the event, which will be feature a main event between Keith Jardine and Chuck Liddell and the debuting Mauricio Rua against Forrest Griffin.

Also just confirmed are Thiago Tavares vs. Tyson Griffin and Wilson Gouveia vs. Jason Lambert.

After winning the middleweight division on the first season of The Ultimate Fighter, Sanchez dropped to welterweight where he began an impressive six-fight win streak before losing by decision in his last outing against Josh Koscheck.

Fitch, who was featured in SLAM! Sportsí feature on up-and-coming fighters in the UFC (click here for article), has won all six of his fights in the octagon.

- Ultimate Fighter 4 winner Travis Lutter has pulled out of his UFC 74 match against Ryan Jensen due to injury. Lutter confirmed the news on his MySpace blog.

- Kenny Florian has announced on his official site that he will return Nov. 17 at UFC 78 in Newark, N.J. An opponent has yet to be named.

The event was originally rumoured to feature a main event for the UFC Lightweight Title between Sean Sherk and B.J. Penn. That match is in jeopardy at the moments as Sherkís UFC 73 drug test came back positive. He is currently appealing the test.

- Kenny Florian will replace Spencer Fisher at UFC Fight Night 11 Sept. 19. Fisher, who was scheduled to face Din Thomas, had to back out due to staph infection.
