Mixed martial arts fans wonít have to pay to see Quinton (Rampage) Jacksonís next fight against Dan Henderson.
According to a press release, UFC 75 will air Sept. 8 at 9 p.m. EST on Spike TV, rather than on pay-per-view.
This marks the first cross-promotional match since UFC-owner Zuffa LLC purchased Pride Fighting Championships. Up for grabs are Hendersonís Pride middleweight title and Jacksonís UFC light-heavyweight belt, both of which have a maximum weight limit of 205 lbs.
Rampage is coming off a knockout victory over former champion (The Iceman) Chuck Liddell, while earlier this year Henderson TKOed then-champion Wanderlei (The Axe Murderer) Silva.
This marks the first title defence for both fighters.
Also announced for the show are Michael (The Count) Bisping vs. Matt (The Hammer) Hamill and Mirko (Cro Cop) Filipovic vs. Cheick Kongo.
- Since a fight with Wanderlei Silva has fallen through, Chuck Liddell is set return to the octagon in the main event of UFC 76 against Keith Jardine.
- Renato (Babalu) Sobral was arrested July 14 at the Seminole Indian Reservation Casino in Tampa, Florida. He was charged with battery and trespassing before being released on a $1,000 bond. Babalu was set to return at UFC 74, but there's no word on whether he will remain on the card.
- TUF 5 winner Nate Diaz is set to fight on the next Ultimate Fight Night Sept. 19. An opponent has yet to be named.
