Triology tickets on sale

Affliction has made its Aug. 1 show at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., official. Tickets went on sale Thursday for Trilogy, featuring a main event between Fedor Emelianenko and Josh Barnett. Chris Horodecki of London, Ont., will take on Dan Lauzon on the undercard of the fight club's third show.

MMA vote in New York

New York has moved one step closer to becoming the 39th state to sanction mixed martial arts. Legislators agreed this week to move forward a bill legalizing the sport for a vote on the floor. Last year, a move to bring the bill to the floor was defeated by a single vote.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the winner of the UFC 100 showdown between The Ultimate Fighter coaches Michael "The Count" Bisping and Dan Henderson will get a title shot against middleweight champ Anderson "Spider" Silva.

The Ultimate Slice

The biggest side show in mixed martial arts has made it to the big leagues. Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson, an Internet backyard brawler who fought for the now-defunct EliteXC, will join the cast of the next The Ultimate Fighter. Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and "Sugar" Rashad Evans will serve as coaches.
