Ever since Georges St-Pierre walked away from the UFC, the organization’s welterweight division has been a bit of a mess.

A glorious, fascinating mess that Tyron Woodley is thrilled to be a part of.

Win a big fight, and you’re in the title picture. Lose a big fight and there are a whole lot of talented fighters waiting in the wings to take your place.

“There are so many guys who are so good and so many guys who are building themselves up to be in the title picture,” Woodley said. “I think for the next long while the UFC just has a lot of guys back to back to back who are ready to get the next title shot and then the next one after that.

“It’s just a great time for the division and I’m just very happy to be in the mix.”
