The last time Dan (Hendo) Henderson and Mauricio (Shogun) Rua stepped into the octagon together, it played out in a way no one was expecting.

It was billed as a slugfest between the two light-heavyweights -- and one that was supposed to end quickly -- thanks to the punching power both men possess.

It sure was a slugfest, but it ended the opposite of early.

Despite Rua (22-8) being wobbled and bloodied within the first two minutes of the bout at UFC 139, the pair of strikers managed to go at it for a full five rounds in arguably one of the most exciting toe-to-toe fights of recent memory, with Henderson earning a narrow unanimous-decision victory.

Now, heading into their rematch almost two and a half years later at Fight Night 38 in Natal, Brazil, on Sunday (Sportsnet360, 5 p.m. ET), fight fans are again expecting the lights-out ending that never came to fruition the first time around.
