No Loiseau, no problem.

When David ‘The Crow’ Loiseau withdrew from the AFC 20: Stampede Fight Night card this week, some MMA organizations would have been left scrambling.

But AFC president Steve Fader’s so confident in the card his team’s put together that he’s barely stressing at all.

“I’m very confident this will probably be the best card we’ve put on,” Fader said. “As I’ve learned over the years, the UFC cards that are the most exciting are the ones with guys nobody’s heard of.

“They’re the ones who put it on the line 100% because they know they have to make an impression.

“They have to try and build a name for themselves.”

Loiseau was scheduled to fight Haligonian Mike Kent on Friday night at the Telus Convention Centre (doors open at 7 p.m.). When Kent withdrew due to a torn MCL, AFC quickly found a replacement.
