The last thing Evan Dunham wants to do is fall back on cliched expressions.

The Xtreme Couture lightweight hates tired descriptors like "fireworks" and "war" when discussing upcoming fights. Yet, when he sizes up his next opponent, Rafael dos Anjos, those same terms immediately come to mind.

"I expect a pretty bloody, brutal and fun fight," Dunham said in a phone interview. "Those are the kind of fights I like to be in. They're the ones I've been in in the past. I think it's going to be an all-out scramble on the ground. I just foresee a really entertaining fight.

"I don't want to say stereotypical words like, 'It's going to be a war.' But that's kind of how I see it going."

Dunham battles dos Anjos on the main card of UFC on FX 8 Saturday in Jaragua do Sul, Brazil. The event will be headlined by a middleweight bout between Luke Rockhold and Vitor Belfort.
