It goes without saying that every MMA organization wants exciting fights. Without them, fans simply tune out.

Like many promoters, Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney gives fighters a pep talk the day before they step into the cage. It's here that he emphasizes the need for competitors to control their own destinies by going for the finish.

But Rebney almost got more than he bargained for nine days ago at Bellator 93, as only two fights even made it out of the first round. The only decision came in the main event, when Dave Jansen won a competitive bout against Marcin Held.
