Strikeforce has announced a date for the second leg of its heavyweight grand prix quarterfinal.
The tournament was originally slated to continue on April 9, but will now pick up on June 18 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair (Demolition Man) Overeem meets Fabricio (Vai Cavalo) Werdum in the headlining bout, while Josh (The Babyfaced Assassin) Barnett takes on Brett (The Grim) Rogers in the co-main event.
On Feb. 12, Sergei Kharitonov and Antonio (Big Foot) Silva advanced to the semifinals, defeating Andrei (Pitbull) Arlovski and Fedor (The Last Emperor) Emelianenko, respectively.
The April 9 card, which takes place at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, Calif. will now see a championship double-header.
