The pride of Kelowna, B.C., has another tough opponent ahead of him when he fights in Toronto in April. Rory MacDonald will face the abrasive Nate Diaz at UFC 129 April 30 at the Rogers Centre.
Couture-Machida a go
According to several reports, Randy “The Natural” Couture vs. Lyoto Machida fight has been okayed for UFC 129.
UFC sets sights on N.Y.
Much as it did in Ontario to get the regulatory go-ahead to sanction MMA, the UFC now has its sights set on New York. President Dana White held a press conference in the Big Apple where he announced that once the UFC gets approval, it will host two events in the first year, including at least one at Madison Square Garden.
‘Bad Ass’ bounces back
It didn’t take long for Phil “The New York Bad Ass” Baroni to find a new job after being let go by the UFC. Baroni has signed a multi-fight deal with Kansas-based Titan Fighting Championship.
