The word is out. Montreal will get the Sept. 13 Unforgiven pay-per-view. It seems likely Toronto will get live RAW the following night ... and it makes a lot of sense that Ottawa, snubbed for so long, would get Smackdown! But WWE bigwigs seem to be leaning in a different direction. Go figure! Winnipeg finally gets a show on Jan. 9, headlined by Batista vs. John Cena vs. Chris Jericho. The card also includes Rey Mysterio vs. Randy Orton. Calgary and Edmonton both deserve shows this summer, but nothing is confirmed.

SHOWS IN OTTAWA

The Universal Wrestling Alliance and Triple "X" Wrestling present Ground Zero at the Alexander Community Centre today. The UWA will crown a new champion via tournament and Triple "X" will present a Therapy Match between Warhed and Viking for the Triple "X" Championship. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

There will also be a card Nov. 29, at 8 p.m., at the Jim Durrell Complex. The main event is Hannibal vs. Jeremy Prophet. Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake takes on CHEZ 106 DJ Ben McCully (with Eric the Intern) in a Hair vs. Hair match. Former WWE star Sunny will also be on hand. There will be a special MMA demonstration match with Nabil "The Thrill" Khatib vs. Stephan "The Black Rock" Lamarche.

There's also a show in Cornwall on Nov. 27, at 8 p.m., at Murphy's Inn. Beefcake takes on Hannibal in the main event. For more details, see wrestlingsupershow.com.

STEP UP ONTARIO FIGHT

UFC president Dana White was in Toronto this week, where he said after getting holdout states New York and Massachusetts on board, the UFC's sanctioning fight will move to Ontario. He also anticipates another card in Montreal in 2009.

BIG BUCKS FOR BROCK

Brock Lesnar made $450,000 for beating Randy "The Natural" Couture. Couture made $250,000. The UFC 91 paydays trail off after that, with Kenny Florian earning $80,000 and Joe Stevenson making $35,000.
