Trading card giant Donruss will unveil a line of mixed-martial arts cards this summer. In its release, the company states MMA has become "a cultural phenomenon that has supplanted boxing as the combat sport of choice for most fans." The line will include Randy Couture, Matt Serra, Georges St.-Pierre, Rich Franklin, Forrest Griffin and Dan Henderson.

FLORIAN'S SOARIN'

After taking out fellow Bostonian Joe Lauzon at Ultimate Fight Night earlier this week, Kenny Florian has moved back up the lightweight ranks and into title-shot contention. But as Sean Sherk and B.J. Penn get set to fight for the belt next month, Florian admits he'll likely have to take on Sports Illustrated cover boy Roger Huerta first.

ULTIMATE CHANGE-UP

The Ultimate Fighter 7 began last week and the UFC has changed the format of how the contenders are selected. Instead of inviting 16 fighters to the house to fight in elimination bouts, president Dana White has brought in 32 fighters who will all fight within the first two episodes. The winners get to stay in the house and fight for the TUF title. The coaches are light-heavyweight champ Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Griffin, who will square off for the belt July 5 at UFC 86.

ICEMAN CUTS UP SLICE

Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell doesn't have much time for Kimbo Slice. In an interview with the U.K. Sun, MMA's original knockout artist says: "People talk about him like he's the next great thing when he really hasn't done anything. He's been built up because of the Internet and him beating a bunch of guys on the street."
