The sport of mixed martial arts is full of great athletes and competitors.
However, since the popularity of MMA continues to rise, some undeserving fighters are given opportunities that others could only dream about.
This could be because they had a successful career elsewhere, they're controversial, or -- worse yet -- were featured on reality TV.
Who is the most overrated MMA fighter?
Most overrated MMA fighters
I agree that Bisping is overrated. Dan Henderson is a big step up for him and we'll finally see what he's made of.
I think Mirko Cro Cop should be added to the list of overrated fighters. He had a great run in Japan but his last few fights (UFC) have been uninspired and didn't look too impressive.
Have to disagree with your assessment of Forest. He is one tough dude who keeps on surprising. I would love to see a rematch with Shogun. I think Forest fought him at time when he wasn't his best and I'd like to see both fighters at 100%. My guess is a healthy Rua would win.
Hey Dwain, not missing a pay per view in four years doesn't mean you know MMA. It just means your easily separated from your money.

Forrest is no longer fighting Thiago Silva at UFC 101. The fight was scrapped and he is now fighting ANDERSON Silva.
Also when Forrest won the belt it made total sense for him to skyrocket in the rankings. He was the champ after all.

Frank Mir is going to put him away.
I do agree that forrest Griffen is a very good fighter. One of the best around and still the best Ultiumate fighter winner around. He keeps getting better and better.

In all reality, I'd say he can hold his own with any HW, including Fedor. He may not WIN, but he'll certainly put up a fight.
He has arguably the single most efficient training camp on earth and one of the strongest work ethics to go along with it. Factor in his athletic ability and I don't think anyone's exaggerating when they say Brock is improving at one hell of a rate.
And that's what he needs to keep doing. "Nut-huggers" aside, Lesnar sometimes is overrated in certain areas (boxing, upperbody sub defense) and vastly underrated in others (clinch, ground game [see video of him spinning around on top of Mir], and cardio)
If he beats Mir, experience won't be what loses his future fights, it'll be a simple matter of being outclassed - just like any other fighter in the UFC. And that's what he is, another fighter. People tend to look at him like he's somehow something else, which he's not.

No it isn't!!! Forrest Griffin is NOT a bad fighter. I don't care what you say. You are wrong and you suck. You couldn't last a minute in the cage with him. Your puncy brain can't handle a list of 5 fighters, so how on earth do you think you'd ever beat Forrest? I bet you're not even as good looking as he is.
