Retired boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya has won a legal battle with a woman who accused him of intimidating her during a night of sex in a New York hotel.

Model Angelica Cecora has been told to pay De La Hoya's $12,000 legal fees after a Manhattan judge ruled her lawsuit was meritless on Friday.

Cecora, who accused De La Hoya of making her do a variety of perverted things, plans to appeal.
