Embattled boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr. will be a free man again this weekend as the fighter is scheduled to be released from jail in Las Vegas on Friday.

The champ will have served two months in a domestic battery case upon his exit from the Clark County Detention Center.

Reports suggest Mayweather, Jr. was granted time off his 90-day sentence for good behaviour.

He began his stint behind bars on June 1 after pleading guilty to misdemeanour charges in a September 2010 fight with his girlfriend, Josie Harris, in front of the couple's two kids.

Upon his release, he will have a new pitch man in his corner as best pal 50 Cent recently announced he would be arranging Mayweather, Jr's upcoming fights as part of a new promotional venture co-funded by the boxer.

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
  No.
