Bute's foot woes behind him

Canadian boxer Lucian Bute says he has recovered from an infection last weekend on one of his feet and is prepared to defend his IBF super middleweight title against Carl Froch of England.

The bout was thought to be in jeopardy, buty Bute was prescribed antibiotics and took three days off from the gym to recover from the infection.

"I feel really good, we worked very hard in training camp," Bute (30-0, 24 KOs) said Friday. I feel stronger mentally and physically. I am ready to go to war in England."

Bute and Froch (28-2, 20 KOs) will meet May 26 in Nottingham, England.
