Young Canadian prospect Mikael Zewski, recently signed with Golden Boy Promotions, won his 10th consecutive fight in dramatic fashion tonight at the Bell Centre in Montreal, knocking out American Ruben Galvin.

Fighting on the undercard to the Bernard Hopkins vs. Jean Pascal title fight, Zewski, dramatically faster than Galvin, landed combinations cleanly in the first two rounds and avoided taking any damage from Galvin.

Early in the third round, Zewski threw a left uppercut to Galvin's jaw, spending him sprawling. He tried to get to his feet, but stumbled back to the canvas.

"He had a good defenses, but I noticed his hands were tight on the sides of his head, so decided to throw the uppercut through the middle," Zewksi said after the bout. "I think I surprised him. I landed harder punches on him in the fight but didn't hurt him. I think I surprised him and that's why he went down."

The win improves the 22-year-old's record to 10-0 with 6 KOs.

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
  No.
