Christy Martinís husband has been arrested following a stand-off with police which allegedly ended with him stabbing himself with a knife.
The former female boxing champion is currently recovering in hospital after she was shot and stabbed at her Orlando, Florida home last month.
Her trainer husband James Martin was the chief suspect and cops embarked on a manhunt for the 66 year old.
Martin was tracked down to woods in nearby Apopka on Tuesday and was arrested after a brief stand-off with cops.
Police reports state he was brandishing a knife and appeared to have suffered a self-inflicted stab wound, according to local news outlet Wftv.com.
The website reports Martin has been charged with attempted murder and is being held without bail. He is set to appear in court on Wednesday.
Martin, who held the World Boxing Council Women's Jr. Welterweight world championship title in the early 1990s, is widely regarded as one of the most successful and prominent female boxers of all time.
