Size matters on the Malice at The Palace undercard.

"Nothing against the smaller guys, but I know how much boxing fans love to watch cruiserweights and heavyweights," promoter Ken Lakusta said yesterday.

To that end, all five prelims to the Tye Fields vs. Galen Brown heavyweight main event will feature some major poundage.

* Curtis Demarce of Winnipeg will take on Rob Roy of Fernie, B.C., in the four-round light heavyweight curtain-raiser.

* In a cruiserweight six-rounder, Vancouver's Alston (Tiny) Brown will face Ray Kovinic of Niagara Falls.

* Two light heavyweight six-rounders will see Jordon Mein of Lethbridge vs. Brandon MacArthur of Fernie; and James Deramin of Vancouver vs. Kombo Mohammed of Calgary.

* The four-round semi-main event will be a heavyweight clash between two former CFLers: Edmonton native Glenn Kulka (pro debut) vs. Vancouver's Paul Cheung (2-0).

"We're getting a lot of positive feedback about that last one," said Lakusta.

"Kulka and Cheung are both great athletes, and they won't leave anything in the dressing room. It's gonna be a war."
