SAINT JOHN, N.B. - Rachel rocks ó at least she does again.
After a wobbly week at times here in New Brunswick at Harbour Stationís Ford World Womenís Curling Championship ó which is weird to say with a 10-1 round-robin record ó Homan and her Ottawa crew of lead Lisa Weagle, second Alison Kreviazuk, and third Emma Miskew have rounded into form just in time for the playoffs.
And a dominant performance against the only team to get the better of Canada this week ó Binia Feltscher-Beeliís Flims, Switzerland, team ó in Fridayís one-two Page playoff game, was an exclamation mark.
That was accentuated by Homanís stone-cold hit and stick for three in the ninth to make it an 8-3 formality, but it was Canada that controlled the game from hack to house. Now itís punched a ticket to Sunday nightís final.
But first, itís a waiting game.
