SAINT JOHN, N.B. - For Team Sweden, it was a disastrous fall from grace at the world women's curling championship at Harbour Station Friday.

The team that took silver in Sochi, losing to Jennifer Jones' Canadian foursome in the gold medal game, came here looking to finally win a world title at an event they have been runners-up at four times.

And most prognosticators had them in going to Sunday's final against Canada's Rachel Homan.

But they won't be there.

Margaretha Sigfridsson's Skelleftea crew lost Friday afternoon's tie-breaker to Ji-Sun Kim's Koreans, 7-5, and are out.

Korea will now play Russia and Anna Sidorova in the three-four Page playoff game Saturday morning.
