The storyline was compelling.

Jeff Stoughton returns to Kamloops where he won his first Brier to crown his career with a fourth and join an exclusive club with Ernie Richardson, Randy Ferbey and Kevin Martin, the only skips to have done it, and become the first skip to return with his team the following year as Team Canada.

Not many expected it to turn into the horror story it was in the Page Playoff 3-4 game here Saturday afternoon.
