No current Olympic gold-medallist Brad Jacobs. No 2010 Olympic gold-medallist Kevin Martin. No former world champion Glenn Howard.
So, you’d think that the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier that starts in Kamloops, B.C., on Saturday should be a breeze for Manitoba’s two-time world champion Jeff Stoughton.
“I’m surprised they’re still holding it,” joked third Jon Mead.
The Brier will still feature B.C.’s John Morris, who won both Olympic gold and a world championship with Martin; Newfoundland’s 2006 Olympic gold-medallist Brad Gushue; and Alberta’s former world champion Kevin Koe.
