EDMONTON - Let the jockeying begin.

Now that the early part of the Tim Hortons Brier is done, teams are trying to find their stride as the finish line draws near.

Brad Gushue of Newfoundland did his bit. Still undefeated at 7-0 going into Wednesday night’s draw, there’s plenty of danger ahead for the 2006 Olympic gold medallist.

Looming on the horizon was Manitoba’s Jeff Stoughton in the night draw, the first of four Brier champions. Ontario’s Glenn Howard, Kevin Martin of Alberta and Jean-Michel Menard of Quebec are next up.

It’s the most difficult close for any of the contenders and Gushue knows he’ll have to stay sharp.

Are you surprised Don Cherry backed Daniel Alfredsson's comments?
  Yes.
  No.
It's Don Cherry - who knows what he will say.
  Not sure.
