CALGARY - It’s alarming to hear Cheryl Bernard talk about this curling season as her last.

The Calgary skip is less than four years removed from a silver-medal performance at the Vancouver Olympics. She’s already won one World Curling Tour event this season and qualified first from a crowded field at the Alberta Southerns playdowns this weekend.

And yet, Bernard’s not immune to the temptations of whatever adventures life after curling holds.

“I haven’t decided, for sure, but I highly doubt I’ll be doing this next year,” Bernard said.
