WINNIPEG - First, he made trials history.

Now, Brad Jacobs wants to write Olympic history for Northern Ontario curlers.

Brad Jacobs beat Ontario's John Epping 7-4 before 6,766 witnesses in the last round-robin game of the Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings Canadian Curling Trials on Friday morning.

With a 7-0 mark, Jacobs becomes the first team — men's or women's — to go through a trials week undefeated.

But does that have any meaning to him?

"I guess if we just made history, yeah, sure," Jacobs said. "But the only game that matters now is Sunday's game, so that's what we're looking forward to right now."
