WINNIPEG - The reigning Brier champion looks hungry for a trip to Russia, but heíll have to go through the Old Bear to get there.

Sault Ste. Marieís Brad Jacobs and Albertaís Kevin Martin have been the hottest curlers out of the gate at the Canadian Curling Trials.

Both remained perfect and alone atop the menís leaderboard through four games, and are the teams to beat going into hump-day.

Jacobs cracked a four in the eighth end to clobber Alberta's Kevin Koe 9-4 and post a perfect 4-0 record before 7,431 fans at the MTS Centre on Tuesday night.

"I'm feeling awesome about 4-0 right now," said Jacobs. "I think that's a big number right now. What can I say? We're perfect right now on the leaderboard.
