Kevin Martin was on his way into day surgery in Vancouver to have his hernia operation Tuesday when he answered his cell phone.
The voting had just been released for the the first ever curling All-Star game of the new format TSN Skins Game and Martin, a month ago, had expressed concerns about how it would work out.
“I just heard about the skips but not the rest of it,” he said.
