WINNIPEG - Jeff Stoughton can punch his ticket to the Roar of the Rings on Sunday in Moose Jaw, Sask.
The Winnipeg skip will battle Ontario's Glenn Howard in the final of the Canada Cup of Curling. If Stoughton wins, he will qualify for the Canadian Olympic curling trials in Winnipeg next December.
Howard thumped Winnipeg's Mike McEwen 9-6 in Saturday night's semifinal at Mosaic Place. Howard has already qualified for the trials in Winnipeg, but Stoughton has to win to earn a berth.
Stoughton earned a bye into Sunday's final after finishing first in the round robin competition.
