Sabourin joins Jones
By QMI Agency

Gatineau’s Joelle Sabourin has been asked to fill in as second for Winnipeg’s Jennifer Jones for five major curling events next season.

Sabourin had planned to take the season off to take care of family matters, but got a call from Jones’ lead Dawn Askin — Sabourin’s former teammate — earlier this week.

“I mean, when you get a call like that, to play for Jennifer Jones, well, it is hard not to reconsider your plans.”

Sabourin will be taking the place of Jill Officer, who is having a baby in December.
