Gay curlers ready to rock
By QMI Agency

The Brier isn’t the only national curling event slated for this month.

The Canadian Gay Curling Championships will also be held — March 24-27 in Ottawa, featuring teams of gay men and lesbians from seven Canadian cities — Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Calgary and Vancouver.

The event is simply more proof of how inclusive the sport is, says Kevin Falkingham, an organizer of the gay championships.

“There are blind curling leagues, wheelchair leagues — it is certainly a very inclusive sport,” he said. For more information, go to www.gaycurl.ca.

The Vancouver Canucks should replace ex-coach Alain Vigneault with...
  Guy Boucher.
  Lindy Ruff.
  Andy Murray.
  Jacques Martin.
  Brent Sutter.
  Don Hay.
