Carey defeats Overton-Clapham
By JIM BENDER, QMI Agency

WINNIPEG - Morden's Chelsea Carey cracked a three in the seventh end to score a 7-3 victory over Winnipeg's Cathy Overton-Clapham in the final of the Manitoba Lotteries Women's Curling Classic at the Fort Rouge Curling Club Monday night.

Not only does Carey's foursome cash a $15,000 cheque, it also earned a berth into this year's Canada Cup.

Carey, 26, said it was the biggest win of her young curling career and the result of joining forces with Kristy Jenion, a former skip who is now at third for her.

Overton-Clapham settled for the $10,000 runner-up award.

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
  No.
  Not sure.
