Gushue really excited

It's official -- if somewhat anticlimatic.
Olympic gold medallist Brad Gushue of St. John's, N.L., confirmed Thursday that Randy Ferbey will join his squad next season as the team's new third.
The team's lineup will consist of Gushue at skip, Ferbey at third, Mark Nichols at second and Ryan Fry at lead.
"We are extremely excited to be adding Randy Ferbey to our team," said Gushue. "He is one of the most accomplished curlers to play the game and having him on our team will only make us better. We are also really excited about having Mark and Ryan playing front end, they will be one of the best in the game."
Gushue and Ferbey will both compete with their respective teams next week at the Grey Power Players' Championship, the season's final Capital One Grand Slam of Curling event, taking place from April 13-18 at the EnCana Events Centre in Dawson Creek, B.C.
Following the Grey Power Players' Championship, Ferbey will officially team up with Gushue.
"This is certainly a day of mixed emotions for me," said Ferbey. "On one hand, I'm saddened that our team of Dave Nedohin, Scott Pfeifer and Marcel Rocque is coming to an end. With Dave electing to take a year off from the sport and possibly retire, I felt the time was right to make a change.
"I'm excited that Brad's team has given me the opportunity to prolong my career. They have a great young team and a great skip and I'm tickled pink to be given the opportunity to help them out anyway I can."
