The heavy hitters were still unbeaten going into last night's late draw of the BDO Classic Canadian Open curling event at MTS Centre.
Winnipeg's Kerry Burtnyk and Jeff Stoughton, along with Newfoundland's Brad Gushue and Edmonton's Kevin Martin, were the lone 2-0 teams through four draws.
Gushue was playing Martin last night, so one of them was going to fall from the unbeaten ranks, while Burtnyk was battling Minnesota's Pete Fenson and Stoughton was taking on Edmonton's Randy Ferbey.
Winnipeg's Mike McEwen has a 2-1 mark going into today's action. He made a superb tapback with his final stone in the eighth end last night to score two and earn a 7-6 win over Ontario's Glenn Howard.
