HALIFAX -- Despite what happened here, Randy Ferbey has decided to go for 2010.

"As long as my rink will still have me,'' said Ferbey.

Ferbey and rink finished up with wins over Pat Ryan and Shawn Adams to end up with the same 4-5 record as Kevin Martin.

When their game against Adams was over, the crowd gave them a standing ovation as they walked the length of the ice together.

"That surprised me,'' said Ferbey. "That was very special.''

"This has just been a bad bonspiel,'' said Ferbey of the disappointment with his four-time Brier winning, three-time world championship winning rink.

"You guys are never there to see those. But we've had bad bonspiels. That's how we're looking at it. Hopefully we'll show up at Regina for the Brier and keep it going.

"My wife is enjoying this more than I am. I'm feeling better than I've ever felt with all the training. Why not?'' said Ferbey, who had previously committed to staying through the 2007 Edmonton world championships.
